The Samsun Open 2026 is underway in Turkey, with live women’s singles results, scores, draw and schedule from the WTA 125 tournament in Samsun.

The second edition is being played on outdoor hard courts at the Green Golf & Tennis Club from October 5–11. The singles main draw contains 32 players, with no first-round byes, while a 16-player qualifying draw produced four qualifiers. The tournament carries a $115,000 total financial commitment and offers 125 ranking points to the singles champion.

Ayla Aksu, Himeno Sakatsume, Lucrezia Stefanini and Anna Blinkova are the final four.

Samsun Open Tournament Evolution

The Samsun Open made its WTA 125 debut in 2025 and returns for its second edition in 2026.

In the inaugural edition, Kaja Juvan defeated Nikola Bartunkova 7-6(8), 6-3 in the 2025 singles final.

For 2026, the tournament again carries WTA 125 status.

The opening round produced several immediate seed exits: No. 1 Ruzic, No. 4 Grabher and No. 6 Jeanjean all failed to reach the last 16. The completed draw also confirms Selekhmeteva’s 7-5, 7-6(0) win over Radivojevic and Klimovicova’s three-set comeback against Buyukakcay.

Aksu recovered from a set down against Crawley to keep Turkish interest alive, while Sakatsume overturned a one-set deficit against Waltert and then won the deciding set 6-0.

Stefanini was the only quarterfinal winner to advance without dropping a set, while Blinkova ended Andreescu’s run in straight sets.

Samsun Open 2026 Late Draw Change

One late main-draw change involved Elena Micic.

An earlier version of the draw listed Teodora Kostovic opposite a qualifier in that section. The final player list instead identifies Micic as a lucky loser. Micic had lost 7-5, 6-3 to Noma Noha Akugue in the final qualifying round and then entered the main draw, where she faced Noha Akugue again and lost 6-3, 6-2.
