Round 32 in Ostrava set an early tone of contrast and control. Katie Volynets and Alycia Parks advanced with authority, while Elina Avanesyan showed resilience in a three-set battle. Home hopes were mixed: Linda Fruhvirtová and Nikola Bartůňková impressed, but others fell short.
One result stood out sharply — French qualifier Fiona Ferro delivered a ruthless 6–1, 6–1 win over Barbora Fruhvirtová, one of the most one-sided performances of the round and a reminder of Ferro’s pedigree when healthy.
